Privacy Policy

1. Overview

My Content Tools ("MCT", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

MCT Studio (desktop application):

All your data — videos, models, shoots, payments, notes — is stored locally on your computer in a SQLite database. It never leaves your machine unless you explicitly export it.
Twitter/X API credentials are stored locally in your settings database. We never see or transmit your API keys.
License validation: When you activate your license, your license key and your computer's hostname are sent to Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor) solely to verify your subscription. We do not store this data ourselves.
Auto-updater: The app checks GitHub Releases for available updates. GitHub may log your IP address per their own privacy policy.

Model Release Pro (iOS application):

Model release data (names, IDs, signatures, documents) is stored in Firebase Firestore, encrypted at rest and in transit.
All sensitive model data is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored in Firestore. Only authenticated studio owners can decrypt their own studio's data.
We do not sell, share, or use model personal data for any purpose other than providing the compliance document service.
Location data (if enabled) is recorded at the time of document signing for 18 U.S.C. § 2257 compliance purposes only.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect analytics or usage telemetry from the desktop app.
We do not access, view, or process your content (videos, images, scripts).
We do not share any personal data with third-party advertisers.
We do not store credit card information. All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy.

4. AI Features (Ollama)

AI-generated captions and replies are processed by Ollama, which runs entirely on your local machine. No content is sent to external AI services or cloud servers. Your creative work stays on your hardware.

5. Third-Party Services

Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and license management. See their privacy policy at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
Firebase (Google) — cloud storage for Model Release Pro. See Google's privacy policy at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Twitter/X — if you connect your account, posts and interactions are subject to Twitter's Terms of Service.
GitHub — used for distributing app updates. GitHub's privacy policy applies to update checks.

6. Data Retention

Desktop app data: Retained indefinitely on your machine. You can delete it by uninstalling the app and removing the application data folder.

Model Release Pro data: Retained in Firebase until you delete your studio account. Model documents are subject to retention requirements under 18 U.S.C. § 2257 (7 years from last production date).

7. Your Rights

You can export all your data from the app at any time.
You can request deletion of your Model Release Pro account and associated data by emailing us.
EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR. Contact us for a data access request.
